Wayne Rabbitskin is a community member of the Cree First Nation of Chisasibi who has been a resident of Nemaska for many years now, a place he refers to as his second home. Wayne strives to build strong and reliable ties with the community of Nemaska and sincerely wants to contribute to the well-being of its residents.

He has occupied diverse positions within the Eeyou Istchee region and contributed to social causes not only locally but also at the national level. Among those are his works as a certified prevention specialist (NNADAP) for the Cree Board of Health & Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) and as a Cree Employment Officer for the Cree Human Resources Department (CHRD).

His past experience, as well as his open-mindness, enable him to offer a direct, transparent and honest approach when discussing the concerns and issues expressed by others, always focusing on solutions.

Simon Thibault


Director Environmental and Social Responsibility
Throughout his career Mr. Thibaut specialized in environmental mining policies and permitting in Canada, especially in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba. He completed his M.Sc. thesis in Plant Biology at Laval University (James Bay area; Northern Studies Center), following which he worked in Finland, Sweden and Estonia as scientific advisor for northern research centers.

For the past twelve years he has led or collaborated on Environmental Permitting of mining projects, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, and Environmental Auditing and Environmental Baseline Studies, Preliminary Economic Assessments, Pre-Feasibility Studies and Feasibility Studies. During this time he has forged excellent relationships with Provincial and Federal authorities as well with local communities and First Nations.
