François Crevier


Director, Construction Projects
François Crevier is a mechanical engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the field of mining and metallurgy. Before joining Nemaska Lithium, he held several management positions in major companies such as Fluor, SNC-Lavalin and Bechtel.

As Director of Construction Projects at the Whabouchi mine and the Shawinigan commercial plant, Mr. Crevier is responsible for engineering, overall management of construction activities and relations with construction’s contractors and suppliers.

In addition to holding a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, Mr. Crevier took a sustainable development management executive course at Schulich School of Business and other graduate courses in business management at HEC Montréal.
Daniel  Pelletier

Daniel Pelletier


Engineering Manager, Construction & Operation Projects
Mr. Pelletier is an industrial electrical engineer with over 20 years of experience acquired in mining and metallurgy. During his career, he has held industrial director positions with large companies such as Tetra Tech and Norda Stelo, where he supervised the planning and implementation of processes, operations and maintenance activities for various plants and large-scale projects.

As Engineering Manager for construction and operation projects, Mr. Pelletier more specifically works on the detailed engineering and organizational readiness plan for the Shawinigan commercial Plant. He also collaborates to the engineering and construction work at the Whabouchi mine.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in pulp and paper from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
Francis Letarte-Lavoie

Francis Letarte-Lavoie


Technical Director
Mr. Letarte-Lavoie is a metallurgical engineer with more than 10 years of experience in mining and metallurgy. During his career, he has held many positions such as factory superintendent, head of the technical department and chief metallurgist in large companies such as Semafo and Glencore, where he supervised processes, operations and maintenance of various facilities and laboratories for major projects.

Mr. Letarte-Lavoie has participated in two plant start-ups and has studied several processes in comminution, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy and electrometallurgy, both in the primary and precious metals sectors.

Mr. Letarte-Lavoie is in charge of setting up the technical management for both the Whabouchi mine and the electrochemical plant in Shawinigan.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy from Université Laval, as well as a Certificate in Mining Studies from the University of British Columbia.
Gilles  Ferlatte

Gilles Ferlatte


Manager of the Whabouchi Mine
Gilles Ferlatte is a mining engineer with over 28 years of experience in the mining industry where he worked in several fields including engineering, production, research and continuous improvement. Over the course of his career, he has worked for various companies, including Noranda, Xstrata Nickel, IAMGOLD, and more recently for Semafo in Burkina Faso, where he oversaw the commissioning and the ramp up of the Boungou Mine.

As Director of Nemaska Lithium’s Mining Operations, Gilles is responsible for overseeing all activities leading to the start-up and production ramp-up at the Whabouchi mine, as well as technical services for the mine site.

Mr. Ferlatte holds a bachelor’s degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Université Laval and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Isabelle Petit

Isabelle Petit


Manager of the Demonstration Plant
Ms. Petit is a Physical Engineer who graduated from Laval University and who has been working in the mining and metallurgical industry as well as pulp and paper industry for almost 20 years. In 2017, after more than 15 years of service at Alcoa-Deschambault where she held the positions of Production Engineer and Section Leader, she joined the Nemaska Lithium team as Assistant Production Manager for the Shawinigan Phase 1 Plant.

In March 2019, she was appointed Manager of the Demonstration Plant.
