Lithium Demand

Lithium is used in a number of applications, but the biggest growth is expected to come from the electric vehicle market and rechargeable batteries. The chart below produced by Roskill for Nemaska Lithium in the Marketing Review Report of February 19, 2018, sees demand growing to more than 1 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent by 2026.

The most growth is anticipated in the lithium hydroxide market, where Nemaska Lithium has decided to focus and where the Company has a clear competitive advantage. Estimates in the table below are in tonne.
